I vividly remember that when we first arrived in Hiroshima, our first question was, "Is it safe to drink their water?" It may sound funny considering the fact that it has been over fifty years when the A-bomb landed on the city.

To some degree, I can fathom why those living within the 30 to 40 kilometer radius in Fukushima are apprehensive about drinking tap water right now. Although some sources are saying that a possible leak is "low," they are not taking their chances. I truly pray that those residents will be transferred to nearby Ibaraki Prefecture where circumstances are certainly much more favorable.
