Why My Toddler Loves Disney School Skills' Shapes/ Patterns & Lowercase Letters ♪♪♪♪

What's great about the Disney School Skills Workbooks is that my toddler doesn't mind answering so many pages in one sitting. Care to find out why?

LET'S LEARN Shapes and Patterns

Disney School Skills: LET'S LEARN Shapes and Patterns for Nursery (Ages 3-4)

For starters, this particular workbook contains the same high-quality pictures present in the Handy Manny video with an added incentive- the presence of a short written story. That means, even though my toddler can't read yet, the story itself helped heighten his interest in reading.

But if your son is already a reader, he would definitely love how the story progresses regardless on whether he is familiar with Handy Manny or not. In fact, it was the workbook that spurred my son to watch the video. Funny, but true.

Although my son already learned shapes and colors from his favorite Mickey Mouse Clubhouse videos, the workbook helped solidify his learning in a fun way. It also encouraged him to polish his coloring which I can tell you is not his most favorite thing in the world, well, not  until recently.

My son loved looking for and making patterns which any educational expert will tell you is a good foundation for geometry.

See?

                                                   Tutapel is lovin' pattern making!

I for one love the fact that there's an assortment of games found in the workbook. All I really need to do is to cut, cut cut-and the game is ready to be played!

LET'S LEARN Lowercase Letters

This particular workbook opens with some tips on how to help any toddler hold the pencil properly. It also lists down some guidelines on how to write on the "three-line writing pad" provided in the workbook. I know it can be a struggle for our little ones who have just started writing, but in time, they will surely get it.

Quite interestingly, LET'S LEARN Lowercase Letters also features a short written story that revolves around the central theme. All I can say is that the pictures look life-like!

But before my toddler proceeded to the writing part, he needed to do some vertical, horizontal, circular and curved strokes first to prepare him to the next featured letter. That means, if the letter requires a vertical line, say l, i or t, the workbook has a page before that zeroes in on vertical strokes. That same principle is utilized in the whole workbook.

He also works on his circle strokes but with some difficulty

Despite the challenge, he continues making curved strokes

Aside from the cool pictures and worksheets, Disney School Skills Workbooks really thrive on several wonderful  stickers which are integral in several worksheets.

After every worksheet, Tutapel earns a star on his skills list. Cool, huh?

Good job!

The workbook is rife with awesome games like Letter Bingo which enhances a child's ability to recognize small case letters in a super fun way.

As expected, the workbook offers a certificate at the end of the workbook, to culminate our little ones' hard work.
