Conti's at Trinoma Mall
1st Day at Conti's Trinoma:
Oh, I'm so glad we did for our conversation topics revolving around K-Pop, K-Drama and K-Stars became so much more amazing when paired with the following dishes:
Conti's Mango Royale Salad (for sharing PHP 160)
Crisp iceberg lettuce draped in a creamy and super delish house dressing and topped with fresh mango cubes. I love how the light dressing sweetened up the greens and added a certain creaminess to it. The mangoes on the other hand offered a degree of decadence to this otherwise healthy dish.
Conti's Angel Hair Puttanesca PHP 190
The wonderful texture of the angel hair pasta is fused beautifully with fresh tomatoes, some black olives, capers, a hint of anchovies and a sprinkle of olive oil for garnish. The tangy saltiness of the sauce cut through the fat for a surprisingly light and delightful taste.
Conti's Pasta Allegria PHP 210
Linguini pasta cooked al dente is harmonized beautifully with a tapestry of rather strong-tasting ingredients such as shiitake mushrooms, tender chicken cubes and sundried/ fresh tomatoes sautéed in olive oil with garlic. Deeply flavorful and a delight to eat! It was a good thing that I brought my appetite with me for the serving was quite huge.
Conti's Bananalicious Pie PHP 85
This dessert had so much depth in it- the wonderful interplay of the banana chunks, cream, nuts and rich pie provided a deeply satiating end to a super delightful dining experience.
Conti's Mango Bravo PHP 145
No wonder this particular cake is one of Conti's most popular creations! Its complexity and visual appeal rendered a familiar yet exciting taste thanks to its crunchy sansrival-like cake interspersed with rich cream and decadent mangoes.
Conti's Trinoma
2nd Day at Conti's Trinoma:
The following day, I was still craving for Conti's Angel Hair Puttanesca. And since I also wanted to try out two more of their cake varieties, the only way to curb the craving was to head over to Conti's the second time around. Here are the dishes we ordered that night:
Conti's French Onion Soup PHP 80
Filled with big, caramelized onion slices in a light soup with a hint of cheese and topped with a rather thick puff pastry. Semi-sweet and salty but not too tangy.
Conti's Chicken Barbecue PHP 205
Fairly normal Chicken Barbecue served with java rice and atchara. Quite okay but not that impressive considering the price.
Conti's Angel Hair Puttanesca PHP 190
This is a gold mine! I absolutely love this dish!
Conti's Chocolate Mousse PHP 75
We've always loved this cake variant and I'm more than glad that Conti's version did not disappoint.
Conti's Turtle Pie PHP 85
Made of chocolate crust with layers of salty caramel and chocolate mousse topped with a neutral tasting icing topped with walnuts. Sweet and salty at the same time. A charming little creation that whetted the appetite while revealing a whole plethora of tastes in the process.
