A Virtual Tour of Piccolo Boutique Hotel And Nearby Stores (Sephora Starhill, Uniqlo & Pavilion) In Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur

Nothing prepared us when the cab driver suddenly wanted to drop us off in the middle of nowhere. We were flabbergasted to say the least, but my training in dealing with Pinoy cab drivers came in handy when I told the Malaysian driver to stop in front of two mall security guards which thankfully he did.

Still seated inside the car, I lowered the car window abruptly, and told them with a distraught but steady voice that the driver didn't want to drop us off our hotel as expected. Thankfully, both guards told him emphatically that our hotel was just nearby and he should take us there no matter what. They even gave out directions which I found very helpful. Five minutes later, we arrived at Piccolo Hotel with all our luggage in tow. Just imagine what would have happened if we didn't assert our right as passengers? We told ourselves that if we can help it, we should ditch cabs and opt for the monorail (LRT) instead. Well, at least not until our time to depart for the airport, which of course required a cab service of some sort.

All our frustrations were wiped away when we saw the smiling faces of the hotel staff. We were even more delighted when our room was upgraded from deluxe to executive at no extra charge! Talk about customer service...

Please allow me to give you a virtual tour of this particular hotel located in the heart of Bukit Bintang which I believe was the primary reason why I enjoyed my stay in Kuala Lumpur so much.

         Fahrenheit 88 (mall) was our next-door neighbor. But it wasn't the only one. We were surrounded by a host of other boutique stores and establishments which made shopping/window shopping super fun!

Pavilion KL became my favorite because of SaSa, Tokyo Street, Oloiya, Food Republic and of course their wonderful Christmas decors which I was able to capture on video. Here it is:

If you're the type who enjoys being surrounded by a plethora of nice boutiques, restos and with Sephora and Pavilion, a mere five minutes away, then you will absolutely enjoy staying at Piccolo Hotel. The staff was very friendly and warm making you feel right at home the moment you entered the hotel.

The only downside would have to be that at night, there was a pervading noise coming from a nearby room or something. I remember reading about this same issue experienced by another blogger; but, didn't think much of it until I've experienced it first hand. The interesting thing was, our other family members who were staying on a different floor, didn't have any noise problems at all.

Hmmmm... makes you think, right?
