Tokyo Street, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur is Love, Love, Love!
The day before, I had Ochado Bubble Milk Tea from the famed Tokyo Street at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur. But of course that was not enough to complete my blog story on TS's Most Popular Treats.
Delish Shimino Japanese Crepes at Tokyo Street, Pavilion Kuala Lumpur
And so I looked for Shimino which was listed down as a must-try treat at Tokyo Street according to some of the Malaysian blogs I've read before our trip. My understanding is that Shimino originated from and gained popularity in Harajuku, Japan because of its array of savory and crispy crepes that boast of over 26 freshly made combos! Let's take a peek at some of them:
Shimono Variants (L-R): Fresh Mango, Honey Topping (RM 8.90 or PHP 124); Fresh Strawberry, Honey Topping (RM 8.90 or PHP 124)
Shimino Variants (L-R): Blueberry Organic, Butter Cake (RM 8.90 or PHP 124); Chocolate Cake, Banana Chocolate Topping (RM 7.90 or PHP 110)
Shimono Variants (L-R): Chicken/Beef Sausage, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Corn (RM 9.90 or PHP 138); Chicken/Beef Strip, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Corn (RM 9.90 or PHP 138); Chicken/Turkey Slice, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, Corn (RM 9.90 or PHP 138)
My Shimino Japanese Crepe of Choice: Fresh Strawberry, Honey Topping with Ice Cream (RM 9.90 or PHP 138). It certainly tasted as good as I expected it to be. It had a very rich taste perhaps due to the addition of vanilla ice cream; but, the tangy taste coming from the fresh strawberries took away a certain degree of that milky richness resulting to a more harmonious and a more blended treat. I give it a 4.5 for taste; 5 for originality and 4.5 for the price. Don't forget to drop by Shimino Japanese Crepe the next time you visit Tokyo Street.
