Teaser: Up Close Vincent Van Gogh's Famed Starry Night at the National Museum of Singapore

When sadness overwhelms me over all the places we failed to visit in Singapore due to our rather limited time,  one particular scene sets everything right.

Tutapel posing right in front of Vincent van Gogh's famed Starry Night was most definitely a scene-stealer in my mind; a trip highlight that made me mutter in the vernacular, "Panalo!" (Translation: It's a winner!).

Starry Night (1888-1889) by Vincent van Gogh on loan from the Musee d'Orsay

Although I majored in Broadcast Communication, my most favorite subjects in college delved in the realm of the Humanities or Art Studies. In those classes, I began to appreciate different types of paintings like never before including Van Gogh's Starry Night which was one of the firsts to deviate from the pervading Impressionist movement by developing a new one called Expressionism.

I promise you an amazing virtual tour of the National Museum of Singapore in next Saturday's Timeless Confection.

Hope to see you again!
