MAKE IT HAPPEN: Christmas Spectacular Spectrum at Ayala Triangle Gardens, Makati

It was actually by chance that we got to witness at least the last part of MAKE IT HAPPEN: Christmas Spectacular Spectrum at Ayala Triangle Gardens.

This amazing light and sound show started late November and has been captivating visitors ever since.

Created by lighting designer Voltaire de Jesus and composers Nicolas and Mikey Amistoso, I felt that I was in Disneyland or something, and I saw that everyone else felt that too.

The festivities brought everyone together at least for those few precious minutes and the minutes afterwards dedicated for photo-ops with friends and loved ones.

Allow me to share with you some of the displays that I've seen.

Lanterns...

...and more lanterns that hover above lights stringed together in magnificent proportions!

"Starlight
Star bright
The first star
I see tonight
Wish I may
Wish I might
Have the wish
I wish tonight."

And for some reason, another quote ran through my mind, this time it's not just about wishes coming true but the beauty of life expressed in poetry by the one and only JRR Tolkein.

"All that is gold does not glitter,

Not all those who wander are lost;

The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by frost.

From the ashes a fire shall be woken,

A light from the shadows shall spring;

Renewed shall be blade that was broken:
The crownless again shall be king."

(From Lord of the Rings)

May the true light of Christmas, the birth of Emmanuel (God With Us) pierce our hearts and minds, change us from within and inspire us to make a difference in our country.

A blessed Christmas to you and your family!
