SEO Musings: How to Detect Blogs with Fake Page Ranks

I've always thought that there's only way of checking a blog's google page rank

And it's through prchecker.info.

It turned out that I was terribly misinformed.

By reading seomastering.com, I learned that there is such a thing as Fake Page Rank.

What happens is that some site owners buy expired domain urls to garner higher page rankings.

This is perhaps the best possible reason why some newly constructed sites with just a few published articles in them have very high page ranks!

If you or your company takes page rankings very seriously, don't fret.

Checking a site's page rank is pretty much a breeze.

Just go to this site, encode the url of the site you want to check and know in an instant whether it's valid or not.

Happy checking!

  1. Why
would one wish to have a fake Page Rank? Google Page Rank is really a component
that determines a websites price. Normally the higher your Page Rank is
definitely the more cash you may get for the website or advertising space on
your own website. Many webmasters can also be buying Page Rank for his or her
    website(s). FAKE
