Thought Bubble: Arthur's Theme by Christopher Cross is still a winner!

When I first heard that the 1981 smash hit Arthur was being remade, I only thought of one thing: will it produce a timeless song too?

It is irrefutable that a good theme song brings in an intangible element to a movie, in the same way that salt spices up a dish without leaving a trace. Although I've become a big fan of Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli because of the movie, my love for them is eclipsed by my affinity with the theme song. And for good reason. Some of the greats in music composed it: Christopher Cross, Burt Bacharach, Carole Bayer-Sager and Peter Allen. The critics have been won over too when Arthur's Theme: Best That You Can Do bagged the Best Original Song in the 1981 Oscar Awards.

Relive Arthur's life and loves with this amazing song as a backdrop. Feel this song come alive with every view. If you're thinking of watching the 2011 version of Arthur, read this review by filmcritics.com

Enjoy!
