The Patisserie, Macau Tower ♪♪♪♪

We did not allow the bad weather to come between us and our Macau tour. The rain was nothing compared to the numerous typhoons and floods we have experienced back home.

We managed to find a cab and reached Macau Tower within minutes.

It was the newest tourist spot in the heart of this former Portuguese colony

Macau Tower boasts of cinemas, cafes and restaurants, a shopping mall, a conference center, theatre, exhibition hall, and of course the famed Observation Lounge with glass floors where you can see the view 223 m beneath.

After touring the place and all, we decided to have a snack at The Patisserie which reminded me so much of our very own French Baker. It proved to be a haven for the absolutely famished. And so we ordered these treats...

I absolutely loved the Croissant Turkey ( 28 HKD or 157 PHP) for its flaky crust, smoked turkey and fresh veggies. It's melt-in-your-mouth goodness that I simply can't get enough of!

I also liked the big Granini Bread Kolatschen (14 HKD or 79 PHP) for its chewy bread and honey glaze. But the biggest revelation was the Portuguese Egg Tart (7 HKD or 39 PHP per piece). Oh la la! Its flaky crust combined with a rich, creamy filling and caramelized top reminded me of another favorite, creme brulee.

We also ordered the Danish Cream Cheese ( 10 HKD or 56 PHP) and liked it for its soft bread, salty cheese flakes and semi sweet toppings.

The Pie Apple Crumble ( 10 HKD or 56 PHP) comforted me with its freshly baked filling and flaky topping. The only thing missing was a scoop of vanilla ice cream to make it extra memorable.

To sum it all, The Patisserie is a fine delicatessen offering a variety of dishes, pastries, and desserts that are ingeniously crafted, tasty and affordable.

If I were to rate it from the symbolic 1 toast to 4 toasts, with 4 as the highest, I would give it:
Four rousing toasts!  GlassesGlasses

Cheers!
